'Vekja' - Old Norse, 'to awaken, to rouse from sleep'. In this on-going experimental meditative drawing project I explore Runes, Pre-Christian Norse-Germanic belief, magick, queerness, Spirits, Gods and more.

Each drawing is the result of, and recording of, a number of gentle meditations in which ritual, chant, and trance are employed to receive messages and co-create with the Divine. In 'Vekja', I gently call upon long dormant faculties, Ancestors, Spirits, and Guides.
